Shree Karaneeka Hanumantha Temple situated at Hanuman Nagar of the Mangaluru city. It is a century old Mujarai temple known for its unique features. In 1830 on learning the hard ships faced by Udupi Madhwa Swamiji to perform Madhwa Pooja & Pravachanas independently, Somayya Rao the Deshasta Brahmin sought a necessity of a Madhwa institution in Mangaluru city and built the temple then.
